ELECTRIC CHARGES

There are two types of electrical charges:

(1) Positive Charges: It contain positive electricity
(2) Negative Charges: It contain negative electricity.

In other words, an excess of electrons (which are negatively charged) in a body will produce a negative charge on it, while a deficit of electrons will be indicted by the body showing a positive charge

The charge, whether positive or negative, is distributed over the entire surface of the charged body.

Its distribution depends on the shape of the body - over round bodies, the charge is uniformly distributed; over others, there is a greater concentration of the charge at sharp corners or edges or points of the charged body.
